The redevelopment, funded by the World Bank under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP) at a cost of over GH¢8 million, was designed not just to modernise the park but to reimagine it entirely, creating a world-class facility that would serve the people of Koforidua for generations to come. Construction began in 2021 and was carried out in four carefully planned phases, ensuring that every detail of the new park met the highest standards of quality, functionality, and beauty. On 29th November 2024, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo officially inaugurated the newly redeveloped Jackson Park in a landmark ceremony that drew widespread celebration across the municipality. The President expressed deep satisfaction with the quality of work and the park's remarkable transformation, describing it as a facility that gives a significant facelift to the entire municipality.
