KOFORIDUA, August 6, 2026

As part of the Government of Ghana's commitment to expanding access to tertiary education, the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat conducted interviews and selection for prospective scholarship beneficiaries in the New Juaben South Municipality on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the premises of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly.

A total of 111 applicants from the Municipality participated in the exercise, which offered eligible students the opportunity to be considered for government scholarships to support their studies in various programmes at tertiary institutions across the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, was present at the exercise to encourage the applicants and observe proceedings. Speaking on the initiative, he noted that it reflects government's continued investment in human capital development, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented and hardworking students from accessing higher education.

"We wish all the applicants the very best and look forward to seeing more of our young people in New Juaben South realise their educational dreams through this programme," the MCE stated.

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that expand access to education and create opportunities for the youth within the Municipality.
