The Eastern Expo 2026, spearheaded by the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (ERCC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, is a week long regional business, tourism, investment and cultural showcase taking place at Jackson Park, Koforidua, from Saturday, 26 September to Saturday, 3 October 2026. The Expo is being held under the theme “Unlocking Opportunities for Sustainable Trade, Tourism and Investment” and is designed to create a major platform for businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, tourism operators, producers and service providers to showcase their products, connect with potential partners, explore new markets and promote economic opportunities across the Eastern Region.

The initiative is intended to go beyond a traditional exhibition by serving as a platform for local economic development, investment promotion, enterprise growth and strategic partnerships. All 33 Municipal and District Assemblies in the Eastern Region are expected to showcase their economic and trade potential, with the region organised into five areas: Kwahu, Akyem, Krobo, Akuapem and New Juaben. The Expo will feature an Eastern Commodity Satellite Market, Investment Forum, Women in Business Empowerment Forum and Youth Development activities, as well as an Indigenous Food Festival, Fashion Showcase, tourism promotion, cultural performances and a musical concert.

The Expo will also form part of Ghana's 2026 World Tourism Day celebrations, bringing additional attention to tourism and the investment opportunities within the region. Activities will include a health walk, tourism seminars and a sensitisation workshop focusing on “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.” The event will also highlight major tourism attractions such as Boti Falls, Aburi Botanical Gardens, the Kwahu Mountains and the Akosombo area, while encouraging investment in tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, commerce and other sectors.

Overall, Eastern Expo 2026 is a flagship initiative of the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council aimed at opening up the region's economic potential to businesses, investors and the wider public. By bringing together government institutions, the private sector, entrepreneurs, farmers, tourism operators, investors, traditional authorities and communities, the Expo seeks to strengthen business connections, promote locally produced goods and services, attract investment and showcase the Eastern Region as a destination for trade, tourism, enterprise and sustainable economic development.
