The Human Resource Department of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly is responsible for managing, developing, and coordinating all human resource activities across the Assembly. It ensures the effective and efficient administration of human resources in support of service delivery within the Local Government Service.
Roles & functions
The department manages staff records, coordinates recruitment, postings, transfers, promotions, and retirement of Assembly staff. It develops and implements training and capacity building programmes to upgrade the skills and knowledge of staff across all departments. The department ensures the welfare of staff, coordinates performance appraisal processes, and facilitates inter and intra-departmental collaboration to support staff development. It also translates institutional policies on employment and personnel management into practice, prepares human resource reports for management, and serves as the principal advisory body to the Municipal Coordinating Director on all matters relating to staff and human resource management within the Assembly.
