About this department

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly Central Administration is the main administrative body responsible for coordinating governance, development planning, and public service delivery within the municipality. It oversees the implementation of government policies, manages the Assembly’s resources, and supervises the activities of decentralized departments to ensure effective local administration. The department also promotes sustainable development and community welfare through infrastructure, sanitation, education, and economic development initiatives.

Our objectives

1. Provide efficient administrative support to the Municipal Assembly
2. Coordinate implementation of central government and Assembly policies across Koforidua and its peri-urban communities
3. Manage day-to-day municipal operations across 34 electoral areas and 8 zonal councils

Roles & functions

1. Manage records, estate, transport, logistics, procurement, stores, and security
2. Coordinate development planning, budgeting, and management functions
3. Organise General Assembly, Executive Committee, and sub-committee meetings
4. Register customary and ordinance marriages
5. Coordinate the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP)
6. Facilitate municipal security through the municipal Security Committee
7. Run the Client Service Unit and Public Relations & Complaints Committee (PRCC)

Roles
1. Acts as Secretariat for all Assembly business
2. Chief liaison between the Assembly and central government agencies
3. Provides HR and training coordination for all departments
