The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly (NJSMA), in collaboration with the Centre for National Culture (CNC), New Juaben South, successfully organized the 2026 Nyansapoɔ Afahyɛ Quiz Competition on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Cultural Centre in Koforidua.

The annual educational and cultural event brought together pupils from eight basic schools across the municipality to compete in a quiz focused on Ghanaian proverbs, idioms, riddles, cultural practices, and indigenous knowledge.

Participating schools included Trinity Royal School, Nana Kwaku Boateng "B", Rii Presbytery Model "B", Brenford International Academy, Freeman Methodist "A", Ellen White SDA, Nyerede Agavenya RC, and Kovoc International School.

The competition formed part of the Assembly's commitment to preserving Ghana's rich cultural heritage while encouraging young learners to appreciate the wisdom embedded in traditional values and indigenous knowledge systems.

Speaking at the event, organizers emphasized the importance of instilling cultural pride and identity in the younger generation through educational activities that celebrate Ghanaian traditions and promote critical thinking.

Throughout the competition, participating pupils demonstrated exceptional knowledge, confidence, and enthusiasm as they answered questions on proverbs, idioms, riddles, and various aspects of Ghanaian culture, creating an engaging and educational experience for all present.

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly commends all participating schools, teachers, pupils, the Centre for National Culture, and every stakeholder whose support contributed to the success of the programme.
