The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly participated in the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving 2026 held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the ICGC Jesus Temple, Adweso, Koforidua.

The programme, organized by the Eastern Regional Co-ordinating Council (ERCC), was observed under the theme, "Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want." The event brought together government officials, religious leaders, traditional authorities, members of the security services, and residents from across the Eastern Region to offer prayers and thanksgiving for God's continued guidance, peace, and blessings upon the nation.

Representing the Assembly at the event was the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, who joined participants in a spirit of gratitude and national reflection. The programme underscored the importance of faith, unity, integrity, and shared responsibility in promoting sustainable national development.

In line with the national theme, speakers called on Ghanaians to uphold moral values, foster peaceful coexistence, and work collectively towards building a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient nation.

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote social cohesion, good governance, and community development. The Assembly believes that strengthening the nation's core values and encouraging collaboration among citizens are essential to achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life for all.
