The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly has taken a significant step toward addressing sanitation and environmental challenges through a new partnership with the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO). The collaboration was formalized today with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting coordinated efforts in sanitation management and climate action within the municipality.

The agreement highlights a shared commitment between both institutions to tackle growing environmental concerns through cooperation, innovation, and community-focused initiatives. Municipal authorities acknowledged that challenges relating to sanitation and climate change cannot be addressed in isolation, making strategic partnerships essential for achieving sustainable development.

GAYO is widely recognized for its work in environmental sustainability and youth-driven climate advocacy. Through this partnership, the organization is expected to contribute technical expertise, awareness creation, and community engagement strategies that will strengthen ongoing municipal interventions. The collaboration will also provide opportunities to empower young people to actively participate in environmental protection and climate resilience efforts.

The initiative further reinforces the Municipality’s dedication to improving environmental health and sanitation standards across communities. Authorities expressed optimism that the partnership will deliver practical and measurable outcomes that will positively impact residents while promoting cleaner and healthier surroundings.

As climate and sanitation concerns continue to affect communities across the country, the partnership between the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly and GAYO represents a proactive move toward sustainable environmental management and long-term community development.
