In a heartfelt expression of goodwill, solidarity, and interfaith unity, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly (NJSMA), Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, has presented sheep to five Muslim communities within the municipality in anticipation of the upcoming Eid ul Adha festival.

The presentation, which forms part of the Assembly's ongoing commitment to inclusive governance and community development, saw sheep distributed to the following groups:

1. Central Mosque
2. Tijania Muslim
3. Ahlul Mosque (Apimpoa)
4. Hamadiya Muslim Mission
5. Masjid Sharif (Kantudu)

Eid ul Adha — also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic calendar, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The festival is marked by communal prayers, the ritual slaughter of livestock, and the sharing of meat with family, neighbours, and those in need.

The gesture by the MCE is in keeping with the spirit of the occasion and reflects the Assembly's deep respect for the diverse religious and cultural identities that make up the New Juaben South community.

Speaking on the presentation, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye reaffirmed the Assembly's dedication to the well-being of all residents, regardless of faith or background. He extended warm Eid Mubarak greetings to the Muslim communities and the broader municipality, expressing hope that the celebration would bring peace, blessings, and renewed bonds of togetherness across the community.

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly remains committed to fostering harmony, inclusivity, and shared prosperity for all people within its jurisdiction.

Eid Mubarak to all Muslim brothers and sisters! 🌙🤲
