The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, has undertaken a comprehensive inspection tour of development projects across the Municipality to assess progress, ensure quality standards and strengthen accountability in the delivery of public infrastructure.
The inspection tour, conducted on Monday, formed part of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly’s commitment to effective project monitoring and ensuring that public investments deliver meaningful and lasting benefits to residents.
During the exercise, the MCE visited a number of key project sites, including the Sempoamiensa CHPS Compound, Agavenya CHPS Compound, the completed classroom block at Oguaa Presby School, the ongoing Agartha Market project, and the Municipal refuse dumping site around Jackson Park, where fencing works are currently ongoing.
MCE Inspects CHPS Compound Projects
At the Sempoamiensa and Agavenya CHPS Compounds, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye inspected the ongoing works and assessed the progress of the projects.
The inspection forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to ensure that investments in healthcare infrastructure are executed according to approved standards and ultimately contribute to improved access to healthcare services for residents.
The MCE engaged with officials and project teams on site, emphasizing the importance of quality workmanship, adherence to project timelines and the delivery of facilities that are fit for purpose.
Completed Oguaa Presby School Classroom Block
The inspection tour also took the MCE to Oguaa Presby School, where he inspected the completed classroom block.
The completed facility represents an important addition to the Municipality’s educational infrastructure and is expected to provide pupils and teachers with a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
Hon. Owusu Boakye expressed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the provision of quality educational infrastructure across New Juaben South and ensuring that completed projects are put to effective use for the benefit of the community.
The completion of the classroom block also demonstrates the importance of sustained investment in education as a key driver of human capital development within the Municipality.
Agartha Market Project Under Construction
At the Agartha Market, the MCE inspected the ongoing construction works and reviewed the progress being made on the project.
The market project forms part of efforts to improve the trading environment and provide better facilities for traders and residents. Hon. Owusu Boakye emphasized the need for the project to be executed to the required standards and completed within the agreed timeframe.
He further encouraged the project team to maintain the pace and quality of work to ensure that the facility is delivered as intended.
Fencing of Municipal Refuse Dumping Site
The MCE’s inspection also covered the Municipal refuse dumping site around Jackson Park, where fencing works are currently underway.
The fencing project is aimed at improving the management and control of the site as part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to strengthen environmental sanitation and waste management within the Municipality.
Hon. Owusu Boakye inspected the ongoing fencing works and stressed the importance of maintaining proper standards in the execution of the project.
