The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly (NJSMA) has commissioned the newly completed Zion Basic School on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to improving educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for children within the municipality.
The commissioning ceremony brought together government officials, education stakeholders, teachers, pupils, parents, and community members to celebrate the completion of the school facility, which is expected to enhance access to quality basic education.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, joined the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, to officially commission the school. Also in attendance were officials from the Municipal Education Directorate, the Eastern Regional Commander, teachers, pupils, and other distinguished guests.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye underscored the Assembly's commitment to investing in education as a foundation for sustainable development.
"Investing in education is investing in the future of our municipality. This facility will give our children the environment they deserve to learn and thrive," the Municipal Chief Executive stated.
The newly commissioned school provides an improved and child-friendly learning environment designed to support effective teaching and learning. The modern facility is expected to enhance academic performance, promote pupil welfare, and create a safe and inspiring atmosphere for both learners and teachers.
The Assembly recognizes education as a key driver of socio-economic development and remains committed to expanding and improving educational infrastructure across the municipality.
