The Municipal Chief Executive of New Juaben South, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, paid a visit to market women within the municipality, accompanied by the Assembly Member for Agatha Railways, in a gesture that once again demonstrated the Assembly's commitment to supporting local businesses and creating safe and conducive trading environments for all market users.

During the visit, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye presented two street lights to the market, a practical and thoughtful intervention aimed at enhancing security and improving trading conditions during the evening hours when poor lighting has long posed a challenge for traders and shoppers alike.

The provision of street lights at the market is a direct response to the needs of the hardworking men and women who depend on the market for their daily livelihoods, many of whom continue trading well into the evening hours. With improved lighting now in place, traders can operate with greater safety and confidence, customers can shop more comfortably after dark, and the overall security of the market environment is significantly enhanced.

The Assembly Member for Agatha Railways, who accompanied the MCE on the visit, expressed appreciation for the gesture and reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to advocate for the needs and welfare of market users within his electoral area.

The market women received the street lights with warmth and gratitude, expressing their heartfelt appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for listening to their concerns and taking swift and practical action to address them.

The visit reflects the hands on and people centred approach to governance that has come to define the leadership of Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, who has consistently made it a priority to engage directly with residents, listen to their challenges, and respond with tangible support that makes a real difference in their daily lives.

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting local economic activity, improving market infrastructure, and ensuring that every trader and market user in the municipality has access to a safe, well lit, and enabling environment in which to conduct their business. Together, we build.
